Spiritual and philosophical exploration has been my lifelong passion, and my interest in yoga developed out of this passion. As an athlete and distance runner, I considered myself in good physical condition, and I initially had little interest in developing a practice for the physical benefits. It took little time, however, for me to discover the inseparable link between physical movement and spiritual and emotional accessibility. I began to embrace a physically challenging practice that allows me to continually confront and explore my emotional and energetic boundaries while instilling a sense of stillness and clarity both on and off my mat.
Teaching, for me, is a deeply humbling experience. My background training and work in Reiki, shamanism and hypnosis allows me to teach from a place of deep intuition and heartfelt healing. My intent in each class is to facilitate an environment where students can safely explore not only the physical aspects of yoga, but the emotional, spiritual and energetic aspects as well. My hope is that each student’s experience expands beyond the doors of the studio, and that each individual finds their own unique sense of peace, stillness and clarity.
