I first discovered yoga in 2002 as I was beginning my MBA program in Arizona. My twice-weekly Ashtanga class became the only opportunity I had to put down my books, step outside of my mind, and allow my body to communicate what it needed. I later began practicing at home, combining my yoga practice with running, hiking, biking, soccer, and cross-country skiing.
When soccer led to a major knee injury that sidelined me for about six months, I realized that I could get by without most of the other stuff—but I couldn’t live without my yoga. This realization brought me to Hilaire’s studio where I immediately felt comfortable. I began my teacher training within a few weeks and am now completing 500 hours of training. I feel honored to continue to grow my knowledge of yoga and myself with such an amazing group. I hope you’ll join us soon.
