Ashtanga Basics (60 minutes)
A beginning yoga class that touches on the fundamentals of ashtanga primary series. Rooted in ancient India, the physical practice of Ashtanga Yoga has developed over the ages into a science of the human body. Using the breath as a vehicle, the student is guided through an abbreviated version of primary series which is a series of poses specifically designed to cultivate balance, strength, and flexibility. Ashtanga is a tool for self observation and nurtures peace of mind. In this basics class, control over the breath, body, and mind will begin. 60-minute class.
